Nasareno Silva, gerente de futebol, assumiu o posto de treinador de forma interina enquanto a diretoria busca a contratação de novo profissional.
Lopes chegou no clube no ano passado, comandou a equipe na conquista da 2ª divisão baiana e teve a sua permanência confirmada para o Campeonato Baiano 2021. “Acho que pude contribuir de forma decisiva com o clube: fomos campeões invictos da 2ª divisão, começamos o Baiano bem e a equipe pode seguir bem. A minha saída aconteceu por eu não concordar com alguns posicionamentos de ordem interna e para não atrapalhar o grandioso projeto resolvi sair”, disse.
Sobre o começo no estadual, quando empatou com o Vitória e Jacuipense, venceu o Bahia e empatou com Doce Mel, Laelson Lopes acredita que foi um bom começo. “Pegamos os três times melhores ranqueados na Bahia: vencemos um e empatamos dois. Muito bom, mas sabemos que ainda virão jogos complicados porque virão adversários que brigam por classificação e até fuga de rebaixamento. Ganhar pontos dos melhores ranqueados e manter uma invencibilidade que chegou a 11 partidas é um bom sinal de que estou deixando o time no caminho certo para classificar”, analisou. “Espero o novo técnico com os jogadores continuem no bom caminho e a Unirb classifique, ganhe vagas para a Série D e Copa do Brasil e porque não pensar no título? O projeto é grandioso e tem tudo para ser um dos melhores da Bahia”, complementou.
